View Full Version : My Grandpa
Yesterday, on Veteran's Day, my Grandpa (WWII, US Army in Germany) was admitted to the hospital with accute pnemonia. This morning his kidney's started to fail. He's on massive amounts of antibiotics and has some excess fluid on his lungs.
It worked for Cass and John and a few others so if you'd take a minute to pray for him I'd appreciate it. He's a good man, I'd like to see him again for the holidays.
R.J.
I am sorry to hear about your Grandpa. He is in our prayers.

What's his name?
I lost my last grandparent in 1990. He was 92. His name was Wally Phillips. What a coincidence.

Wally, his name is Joseph Benoit. It's funny but I've never known him that way. His grandkids out west call him Grandpa Joe. That's probably the only reason I know his first name. He's just always been Grandpa.

OK, Grandpa Joe is on my list. I wish him a quick recovery.
"Grandpa Joe" reminds me of "Cousin Joe". When we were in the Keys somebody asked our tour guide/boat captain how Cudjoe Key got it's name. He said there was a Jamaican guy lived there named Cousin Joe. Of course it got shortened to Cud Joe /ccboard/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Good luck Kato

I'm sorry to hear this news, but good vibes are coming your way on the expess run.
Today he has taken a turn for the worse. He's not responding to medication and they are worried that his heart may stop. This is a very helpless feeling and I'm very afraid now.

You and yours have our deepest sympathies, RJ.
Voodoo, my father had a hard time dealing with the loss of his mother. Was the only time I've ever seen my father cry, and even then he went outside to do it. Your grandmother is in our thoughts and prayers.

My wife and I have lost both parents and grand-parents, so we know of the sorrow you must be dealing with now. Be comforted in the fact, that we are only here for a snap of the fingers (in God's time-frame)and we will get to see our loved ones again. Hang in there RJ. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Sorry to hear it, Kato.
Hard as it must be, you were lucky to have the time to know him that you did ... both of my grandfathers died when I was very young. I can't even recall meeting them, sad to say.
