The Leonid meteor shower is coming. Again.

Bill Cooke of the Space Environments Group at the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center explains: "Normally there's just one Leonid meteor shower each year, but this year we're going to have two: one on Nov. 13th and another on Nov. 19th."

I've only seen a few meteors from Brooklyn in all the years I've been here. I saw a couple from Staten Island when I was doing some telescope observing of Mars at it's recent close pass to the earth though. Fight light pollution! Support the Dark Sky Society! (http://www.darkskysociety.org/)
