Sorry about the length of that other one. This one is just simply a notice, rather than a long winded address. Some of you out there may know of Eldridge, who made some of the finest tables in Charleston, SC and was a one pocket player of great notoriety in action circles. On the road with Portland Don, running pool halls in wild, port city, 1970s Charleston ... basically the greatest out of The Lowcountry until Tony Ellin materialized.

I'll leave the stories to those who may know them, and feel like sharing. If none of you have inherited them, Tucker was a piece of formative one pocket history dating back to the 1950s. He was just an old man who seemed to know way too much about one hole, to an unwilling ear, as told by guys who I wanted to beat in the damn tournament, not hear their stories. Eventually it soaked in, and if you happen to have something to say in his memory, please pass it along. Any that involve him turning air conditioning off to sweat out road players better have some specifics, damn it; it seems to have been a prized tactic when Tucker settled here.
