europe take the lead for the first time in the match,
Chamat/immomen bt Williams/ Jones 5-3

Europe 7 USA 6 first to 11

last singles of the night wild card singles

captains choose
Jones (USA) Souquet Europe

clever move by captain Varner . Jones is still warm despite doubles defeat. Souquet struggled earlier but his compatriot German , captain Oliver Ortmann obviously believes in his ability and tournament experience.

I saw it and loved it. Wonder if Earl will still be using his super-specs! HaHa.

Boy does he hate to lose to Steve. Notice when they shookhands Earl wouldnt look at him.

Earl, Steve Davis, all of these guys are great assets to the sport. The competitive spirit is what I enjoy the most, and the Strickland-Davis matchups are fun to watch. Each player takes their game very seriously.

Would love to hear more about Rodney Morris. Sounds like he's in great form these days. The sound of his break when the cue-ball hits the balls is deafening.

The Mosconi Cup is the closest thing the U.S. will ever have to an Olympics. Keep these updates coming for those inquiring minds that got to know. This is GREAT stuff! /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Jones wins 5-3 and the USA wins the Mosconi Cup 11-9. I was hoping for a USA win however I was really looking forward to a Strickland Hohman final deadlocked at 10-10. Sounds like it was a great tourney....can't wait to see the re-run on TV
