Wrapping Coal

Is it just me or do you get fer-plutzed wrapping coal for your Significant Other +/- family?

Man!! I shop and shop and shop for the smallest piece of coal I can find, but it takes me 2 hours to wrap the darn thing! I just don't get it right!!

And then the cats have to make me wrap what they get for us, ugh! Spike with the claws and Junior won't budge off the bed. What lazy lumps!!!

In Scotland, at the New Year,if you went 'first footing'it was common to bring a piece of coal. Goes back to when people were really poor.
Maybe its something like that?
