View Full Version : Dilema for Nino

Here's a situation from the recent Mosconi Cup.
Earl has played a good safety and Nino cant see the 2b.

What to do. Jump it? Kick off 1c? If so, what English do you use? Are you trying to pot the ball or trying to play safe? Kick off 2c and try and play safe?

Later I will tell you what Nino did.

I myself would play the 1c with lots of right E hoping to pot or hit it thin, but there are other options.

What would you do?

I would jump this. If I don't make it, hopefully the cb would clip the 2 thin and come down table 2c, leaving at least a long shot if not a safe.

I think with plenty of space for a jump shot, ya can focus on accuracy. I would jump, and with the chances of a thin cut, the end result would hopefully have distance between both balls if ya did miss.....jm2c

Jump shot would be the thing.

I would jump it, but I'm not sure how good of a jumper Nino is, I'm curious to see what he did do to escape.

Jack it and jump it.

I would kick one rail across table hitting short of the side pocket with the make in mind, it just looks on track with alot of possiblities even if you just get the hit...good pocket speed. I don't like the jump, you have to hit it too hard to keep shape on the three even if you make the two.

I wont keep you in suspense any longer. He played this shot with right E and scratched.

Big mistake. Cost him the rack.
