I have a list of the top 48 WPBA player rankings, and included in that list is "Status". Most of the players are "T", which I think means "Touring Pro". But I can't figure out the other letters:

"S" - 10 players
"A" - 1 player
"P" - 1 player

What do those letters mean?

the A would probably be Active Pro. Still trying for their fourth(?) /ccboard/images/graemlins/confused.gif point.

ask Sarah Rousey at AZB "Ask the Pros"

Very good Wally, except that "A" does not stand for Amateur. I believe that it stands for "Active Pro" which is a player that has lost her Touring Pro status but is still playing in the WPBA events. An amateur cannot play in WPBA events because once she wins a Qualifier, she automatically becomes Semi-Pro.

So T = Touring Pro, S = Semi-Pro, A = Acitve Pro.

Barbara = S

SPetty,

Who's the player with the "A" status?

You guys got it right.

T= touring pro
S= semi-pro
A= active pro
P= pro

All of the different levels have to do with how you have placed throughout the year.

Quote Barbara:
Who's the player with the "A" status?

#37, A, Liz Schwartzreich

#42, P, Leslie Anne Rogers

This is from the December, 2003 WPBA Newsletter

I think the new newsletter had some misprints. It had some people that are not pros marked as being pros. I know of about 7 of them that were mismarked. Liz and Leslie both need one more point. There were others who need one more point to get pro status and I know of a few people who should have a T by their name that are marked otherwise. Who knows.
