The greatest Christmas present....

I had a wonderful Christmas this year and I hope everyone else did also. Sorry if this post is a little late, but I was waiting on some info before I posted.

When my wife and I moved back to Florida, we decided to try and have a baby (this is her way of grounding me here so we never move again /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif ). Well, it worked the first time around. She took the pregnancy test on Christmas morning, at 6 AM. Much to her amazement it came back postive. Well, I was up all night playing with my new DVD burner, so I was a little tired when she burst into the room yelling for me to look at the test. I could not believe it.

I'm so happy for you buddy. I love my son more than life itself. Matter of fact Heide and Spike are the only reason that made me want to get through the ordeal I had been in.

Funny, I'm the one that wanted a child. I think it was that moment I lost my mind. LOL We would of had another but I know I couldn't financially afford one. I wanted a girl but we had Christ and I can tell you I wasn't disappointed in the least. I was happy for a healthy child, that's all.

That's a great gift she gave you. Now, you have to spend the rest of your life showing her how much you appreciate it. Boy, I remembered the pregnacy. I think it was the toughest thing I ever went through. I think she had it easy. /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Having no children of my own the greatest gift I was ever afforded was the love of my nieces. Holding Jordan when she was 1 day old was such a great experience and playing games with Romi is so much fun for me. Reminds me of when I was a kid. Of course being able to extend my family to Heide, Chris, and Christ is a great joy for me too. Just to be able to sit and talk to Christ for the time we could was such a treat. Kind of makes me sad I'm not a father.

Ed, you are a lucky man. Take care of that wife of yours and dote on that child and raise him/her the right way. Be they Republican, Democrat, or Imperial Master of the Universe you should and will be proud to be a Daddy.
