View Full Version : The greatest Christmas present....

01-06-2004, 09:59 AM
I had a wonderful Christmas this year and I hope everyone else did also. Sorry if this post is a little late, but I was waiting on some info before I posted.

When my wife and I moved back to Florida, we decided to try and have a baby (this is her way of grounding me here so we never move again /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif ). Well, it worked the first time around. She took the pregnancy test on Christmas morning, at 6 AM. Much to her amazement it came back postive. Well, I was up all night playing with my new DVD burner, so I was a little tired when she burst into the room yelling for me to look at the test. I could not believe it.

I guess I am going to be a daddy. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If there ever was a career in pool..... Nope, a real job took care of that. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

01-06-2004, 12:53 PM
Thank you. Now it is a sure bet I will be down south sometime this year. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

All babies look wrinkly when they are born. :P

Seriously, if it looks like you, then Heather and I will need to talk. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Heather asked me if I had called to tell you and Ken. I would have, but my cell is not working. I need to get a new one and hopefully they can salvage the phone book off the old one.

01-06-2004, 12:59 PM
LOL, that is the worst pic of her I have ever seen. Ouch.

01-06-2004, 01:00 PM
Thanks a lot! Wasn't too long ago that discussion about deductions was brewing here on the board. Now I will get to participate. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well I hope it cannot get any worse.

Congradulations on the good news....I hope it's she and she becomes the first woman president of the USA representing the 'socialist green party'.......hehehe/ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That is a great present. I remember the feeling so well. Hard to get the smile off of your face isn't it. It only gets better as the day gets closer and then you get to experience something even greater. My best wishes to you and your family.

Don't believe all that stuff about your pool game falling off. It gets better. Don't ask me why. It just does.

01-07-2004, 07:22 AM
Thanks for the reply. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You are right, it is hard to wipe the smile off my face. That is good news about the pool game also. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

01-07-2004, 07:23 AM
LOL, thanks cheese. I would probably have to sit her down and explain a few things. At least get my say. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif Then, I would help her move into the White House and ask which room is mine. /ccboard/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Oh eg8r,

I'm so happy for you buddy. I love my son more than life itself. Matter of fact Heide and Spike are the only reason that made me want to get through the ordeal I had been in.

Funny, I'm the one that wanted a child. I think it was that moment I lost my mind. LOL We would of had another but I know I couldn't financially afford one. I wanted a girl but we had Christ and I can tell you I wasn't disappointed in the least. I was happy for a healthy child, that's all.

That's a great gift she gave you. Now, you have to spend the rest of your life showing her how much you appreciate it. Boy, I remembered the pregnacy. I think it was the toughest thing I ever went through. I think she had it easy. /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

May God bless the lil bugger. I'm so happy for you both.

C.C.~~ /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif Can't go wrong with an Uncle RJ. He's the best.

Having no children of my own the greatest gift I was ever afforded was the love of my nieces. Holding Jordan when she was 1 day old was such a great experience and playing games with Romi is so much fun for me. Reminds me of when I was a kid. Of course being able to extend my family to Heide, Chris, and Christ is a great joy for me too. Just to be able to sit and talk to Christ for the time we could was such a treat. Kind of makes me sad I'm not a father.

Ed, you are a lucky man. Take care of that wife of yours and dote on that child and raise him/her the right way. Be they Republican, Democrat, or Imperial Master of the Universe you should and will be proud to be a Daddy.

PS. If that child becomes President can I hang out in the Oval Office and order a pizza? Have sex in the Lincoln Bedroom? Play pool in the Billiard Room? Come on, I need the future hook up!!!!!!!!!!! /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

01-07-2004, 08:44 AM
Chris thanks for the post. I cannot wait till the baby is born, but it has been fun so far. Only a few weeks along, and there is a long way to go. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

/ccboard/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Thanks.

01-07-2004, 04:17 PM
Congratulations! I hope your child does not get days and nights mixed up. Mine did and I had many sleepless nights. Are you going to get your better half to swallow a couple pool balls and a small cue for the baby to play with 'til it's born? Do you have a custom on order for it awhile?

DG - loves my daughter in spite of the sleepless nights

01-07-2004, 08:33 PM
Oh, I hope not also. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif No custom cue on the way, and I am not sure she will swallow the pool balls. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif
