8 ball or 9 ball runout?

I've heard it said that our very best pros break and run a nine ball rack 26% of the time.I was wondering if anyone knew that success rate for 8 ball. My question is : What is an easier rack to run for a pro, 8 ball or nine ball?

I don't know about the pros but for me an eight ball run is much easier. I can make a horrible leave and have a good chance of lucking into a new run pattern. Also, I tend to do more area leaves instead of pinpoint leaves which is why I try to practice nine ball more.

26% seems low to me for the pros. They seem to be running out all the time. I would guess it would be harder to run a rack of 8 ball on a bar table becuase of all the clutter. On a 9' I'm not so sure.
