View Full Version : Cue Weight question

I have a friend that has a Lucasi (as do I). However, when he bought the cue he wanted a 19oz. We weighed it and it is like 20+. No problem, just change the weight bolt right? Well, THAT WAS WITHOUT A WEIGHT BOLT. Is there ANY way that he can lighten the cue?

You can have a repairman drill and bore the bottom and fill it up with foam or cork.
Not worth the trouble if you ask me.

I had the same problem with my stick. I wanted a 19.0z and ended up with a 20.0z. The maker (Pechauer) said it was as light as he could make it (it is a wrapless cue with bocote wood). It was soo damn pretty I couldn't send it back. I ended up playing with it, and I'm used to it now and happy with it. Good luck with yours.

I would do what cueless joey said, but maybe only take it down to 19.5 and see if he can get used to it at that weight. Keep in mind that drilling out the butt will move the balance point forward a hair. Probably not enough to notice unless it's front weighted alot. haden
