Bad rolls

Please excuse this inane post. I just learned to use the wei table and I want to try it out.

Playing race to 4 last night I lost 4-2. Two of the games I lost thusly:

Pocketed the 3-ball in pocket A, cue ball kicked 8-ball in pocket B

Pocketed 8-ball in pocket A while drawing the CB to avoid scratch in side. CB somehow got by the 3-ball and caromed off 1-ball into pocket B.

Hey man tell me about it...I was playing APA last night. I am a 7 and I was playing a 7..so 5-5 race. It is tied 1-1. Then this happens:

make the 4 and then scratch perfectly by glancing off both his other balls. He runs the table.

The very next game:
I am running the table out and trying to break one of my remaining out I knock the 8 in:

Congrats on figuring out how to use those arrows ... that should be one of my new year's resolutions.

Too bad about those miserable shots ... I take it they were on a bar table? First one looks like the price you pay for small green and hungry pockets.

On the second, I was wondering, did you hit that with straight draw or did you throw it some with low-right? Guess you could get burned either way. Maybe it was possible to try it high-left? Not my favorite shot, either.

<font color="blue">Perhaps my diagram doesn't show it properly but it hit the long rail before it hit the 1-ball. Had the 1-ball not been there I would not have scratched.

Thanks for tip on arrow ... and on that shot, yeah, I realized you nicked the 1 ... just was thinking that maybe by throwing it with low-right you'd have taken a bigger bite on the ball and gone to the rail a tad sooner or at least at a slightly sharper angle. Of course, cb would be spinning right toward the pocket ... just idle speculation. /ccboard/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
