Low budget movies on SciFi

Any reason why I watch these awful low budget movies? Tonight is Curse of the Komodo. The acting is awful, the effects terrible, and the stories paper thin. Yet here I sit, always watching at least part of the movie.

These movies are worse than the late 50's monster movies. Sci Fi had a movie about giant mosquitos a few months ago, and it was the worst I've ever seen. They also had a movie that resembled Willard but much worse.

Anybody remember the "Tree Monster"? I recall the review saying "Walking tree stumps terrorize an island while lots of Japanese actors run around looking grim and frightened".
