I hate to break this to you Tom...but that picture on your home page of a "young Jean Balukas" is actually a young Loree Jon Jones.

Wait a minute...now I'm confused. I'm looking at the spectators in the background and their ties look too thin.

It sure does look like LJ but the picture's not totally clear. Could I be wrong? Wow. Did they really look that much alike?

Fran.. the pic is from the 70s.. so I don't think Loree was even in her teens then..

Jean must have been late teens early twenties..

I think its one of her best pool pics.

I don't know, Tom. That sure does look like Loree Jon at about 14. That's her stance and it's exactly how she used to style her hair back then.

Unless Loree had a nose job.. I don't think it was ever that uh.. "not so perfect". But, I can see why anyone would think it was Loree.. the hair style certainly fit her back then.. and.. it does look like her clothes were more to Loree than Jean.. but .. I just thought since it was on the same page as Jean's pic.. it was her.. but I could be very wrong.. wouldn't be the first time..

Tom I went to the link and was able to pull up an enlargement of the photo. It's definitely Loree Jon. I'm 100% sure now.

Hi Fran,

Just for the hell of it, I asked Travis(Loree Jon's ex neighbor from NJ) he thinks that Loree Jon has the same loop in her bridge, had a simular hairdo about 20 yrs ago, but thinks her cheeks were a little fuller. He's not sure either.
