Almost all major winners were easy picks.
I wanted Eastwood and Mystic River to win though instead of LOTR, ROTK. But, the academy had to give the third and last LOTR some awards b/c they ( the 3 films brought in a ton of money) were good for Hollywood.

I was surprised that the awards went to a movie intended for ages 5 to 12, and also surprised that the theatre didn't empty before I turned it off, about 20 min into the telecast
compare that cartoon to some of the greats from years past
The Lion in Winter
Becket
A Man for all Seasons
A great picture should have a great storyline, and great acting.
Bill Murrey?
'course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong

And an Oscar for the sound crew on that movie..... NOT

Actually I liked that movie but it was a bit distracting having 3 people in the room constantly asking me "What'd he say?"
