There is a Pool hall here that is trying to start a summer league.
Normally they only have winter league.
I am talking about BCA. APA runs year round.
For this Summer league they want to try a player daft.
First there will be captains chosen that are in
the mid skill level range and a pool of remaining players.
Then like any other daft the captains will pick
their teams one player at a time.
I have never seen a league try this before but it sounds like fun.
For years I have played with the same guys on pretty
much the same teams and of course I still will play
with them in the fall.
Now it looks like I will get to play on the same team
as people I have never played with before.
I guess it is similar to a blind draw tournament
only its for a whole season.
Oh ya, Also,
The season will only determine the seeding for the final tournament.
The only way to get a prize is if you finish in the top four of the tournament.
To me it sound like fun and a nice change.
I was just wondering if anybody has experienced
something similar to this and how it went.
Thanks,
Chris
