Can anyone suggest some 3-c drills for someone who is new to the game?

1)Practice the break shot...over and over...shoot right side and around then left side and around
2)set one object ball near the 4 diamond and the cue ball on the center spot and the other object ball in the corner, same side as the other object ball...center spin shoot it to the right then to the left.
)))the break shot is usually made 80% of the time by the top players...the second shot is also made about 80% of the time
Check out Bob Byrnes "Standard" book

depends on your level. I would get the break shot down first. right spot, off the left cushion, three rails to the hit with leave.
After that, start working the diamonds. Don't worry so much about shooting into the corner, but all of the off-corner variations. Pay attention to the LINES, not the shot. If you learn the lines, rather than the endpoints, the game becomes 100% easier.

Thanks for the suggestions!
Just to clarify, could you explain a little more what you mean by "learn the lines rather than the endpoints"?
