You should have called the thread "felt" if you wanted a lot of responses. /ccboard/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I know little about cloth except if it is loose and damp it will play very slow. Regardless of brand.

And it is claimed Simonis 760 is a bit faster than 860 but doesn't last as long.

I have 860 Simonis at home and play on 760 at the PH. 760 is definitely faster. A little too much for my liking. Just have to practice more on it.

Simonis or Champion (tour series) will play very well. I have Champion Tour Series on my table and it plays great! The main thing is having it installed by someone that knows how to do it. This type of cloth must be properly stretched to get the speed you want (assuming you want a fairly fast table) and if its not stretched right you can even have balls roll off.

I would just do some searching and see which one you can get the best price on.

I have Granito (Gorina) Basalt felt. It plays as well as simonis and 20% cheaper. I have had it on for a year and a half and it still plays as good as the day i put it on.
