My buddy has this cue, so I checked up on it.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3666150104&indexURL=2& photoDisplayType=2#ebayphotohosting

The guy has a Buy-it-now option for 500.00???? The cue is a LSS-3 retail 250.00........

Ebay has great deals, but the more I look into it, it has great Steals....I hope noone would buy this cue from this guy at that price.

Perk...P.T. Barnum said it best! "There's a sucker born every minute...and TWO to take him!" LOL I've seen some good deals on eBay, as well as some CRAZY prices (not just on pool stuff, either)! Caveat emptor (let the buyer beware) applies here! LOL

But Perk, it comes with an "authentic crocodile leather" Lucasi case and a "solid nickel joint". No really. With authentic Jeremy Jones signature in gen-u-ine gold like pen stamping.

At least he didn't claim the micarta was pre-ban elephant tusk. Lucasi is really pumping out that high-end stuff these days!

I went to lunch, and I thought about it. I understand now....its that damned glove he is tossing in with it....and that "croc leather"... LOL

Maybe its the fact that Double J won the US Open? Heck with that JJ signature, I am wondering if I could pick up the 80.00 cuetec with stricklands signature and sell it on EBay for 500.00 or so. Might have to toss in a 'towel' or something. LOL

Yep, it's a "croc" alright!

I sell a lot of cues on Ebay. Some people get a cue that they hear is good (Lucasi in this case) and they think they have $1000 cue guaranteed.

They learn soon enough when they get no bids and we make fun of them on the CCB /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

There was a guy around here that had a Balabushka (one of the new ones, not the original) and wanted $2000 for it. Lord knows how much he paid for it.

Yeah but look at it this way. Those guys that scrounge garage sales in Arkansas and buy 20 year old Meucci's for $6.47 probably laugh their butts off when I buy it from them for $300.
