OK so I just bought a custom cue a while ago that came with the two original shafts and an old predator shaft. What do yuou all think of putting a moori medium tip on the predator shaft?

That's what I shoot with. I like it.
But I do have to use my TipPik on it occassionally to keep the miscues away.

Ok bud thanks. I have put on tips many times before, so I do know how to do all that but do you reccommend I do it myself or take it to a shop? or have it done at the expo?

Definitely have someone do it for you.

I'm sure there will be some vendors doing tips and stuff at the Expo. So be sure and take it with ya.

Fellow CCB'er, Ted Harris will be at the Expo doing cue repairs. Check him out.
That is where I'll be heading. /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's a great combination, that's what I have.

One word of caution: keep the tip fat -- use the whole thing. I normally shave down the Moori to about half height, but the Predator feels and sounds terrible when the tip gets too small. Also, the new Moori mediums are a little harder so the extra layers give you just enough cushion to absorb some of the Predator sound.

I use a Moori Medium on a Predator shaft. I really like the combo. I cut my tip down a lot too. I haven't noticed any weird sounds from it.

That's what i use and i think that it is one of the best combinations you can get. The moori medium is really responsive and works great with the predator shaft.
