View Full Version : Another 9-Ball drill

Here's a nice 9-Ball drill. These shots and patterns come up over and over in actual play. I start with the CB in the position indicated and try to pocket the balls in the order ABCD9. When I've had enough of that, I try to pocket the balls in the order CDAB9. Enjoy.
The Wei table is at:

The drill is:
START(
%At3\2%Bt2\2%Ct4\3%DN9X9%Et5\1%Fg6X9%GO0E3%Hg7E0%I r2O5%Jt1[9
%Kt1\2%Lt4\2%Mt2\0%Nt4\1%Ot5\3%P[3O7%QN1Y6%Rf6Y8%SN3F1%Tf8F0
)END .

Yup. Key here is a pure center ball hit ( just a hair below center).
It took me ages how to hit that cb center with a soft punch.

Hey Joey,
Just tell it like it is. The cb must return to ctr table about 70% of the time to be a great player in any game. Looks like there's something in what David Sapolis had to say. /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hitting the ball dead center with a straight pure stroke will do wonders. /ccboard/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
My brother could not do this.

Yep, centre table is "the g-spot".......that reminds me. Q.What's the difference between a g-spot and a golf ball? A. A guy will spend 20 minuits looking for a golf ball. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif St.~~that's my wisdom for the day~~

Hmmm, I can't either without some draw. Scoot the cb down the line to about 1/2 diamond from the ob and a center ball hit will work.
You guys must have one heck of a better stroke than I do. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I call that the X drill without the 9. It's a real good drill for finding center table, that a some others. There was a gal here going to play in the pro event, I had her shoot that drill until she mastered it. Matter of fact she come in 12th or 13th place. Not to bad for the first time. Glad you brought it up.

you'll have to download shockwave.
click paste and answer yes twice.
you should see a layout of balls on a pool table.
don't feel stupid if you don't get it at first. it took me a while

Mr. Salmon,
thanks for the advice. This looks like a great deal (and one that I much need). If I ever get to a table again, I will be sure to try this one.
