Here is an email a buddy sent to me (it is chain mail, so I am sure some others have received it also).

The FACTS

The following appeared in a local paper as a letter to the editor.
It should put things into perspective.
----------------------------------------

Some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war.
They complain about his prosecution of it. One person recently claimed
Bush was the worst President in U.S. history.

Let's clear up one point: We didn't start the war on terror. Try to
remember. It was started by terrorists on 9/11. Let's look at the
"worst" president and mismanagement claims.

FDR led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did.
From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500
per year.

Truman finished that war and started one in Korea. North Korea
never attacked us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average
of 18,333 per year.

John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam
never attacked us.

Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975, 58,000
lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent.
Bosnia never attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a
platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on
multiple occasions.

In the two years since terrorists attacked us, President Bush
has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida,
put nuclear inspectors in Lybia, Iran and North Korea without firing a
shot( I am not sure what the email means by "not firing a shot" ), and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own
people.

We lost 600 soldiers, an average of 300 a year. Bush did all
this abroad while not allowing another terrorist attack at home.

Worst president in history? Come on!

Interesting....
----------------------------------------

LIKE IT OR NOT... BUSH COVERED IT!

You know, it is easy to forget the 'promises' that Bill and
Hillary made while in office. It strikes home when it is listed like
this:

After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six
and injured 1000; President Clinton promised that those responsible
would be hunted down and punished.

BUSH COVERED IT!

After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five U.S. military
personnel, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down
and punished.

BUSH COVERED IT!

After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed
19 and injured 200 U.S. military personnel, Clinton promised that
those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

BUSH COVERED IT!

After the 1998 bombing of U.S embassies in Africa, which killed 224
and injured 5,000; Clinton promised that those responsible! would be
hunted down and punished.

BUSH COVERED IT!

After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured 39
U.S. sailors, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted
down and punished.

BUSH COVERED IT!

Maybe if Clinton had kept his promise, an estimated 3,000 people in New
York and Washington, D.C. that are now dead would be alive today.

And, now that Bush is taking action to bring these people to justice,
we have Democrats charging him with being a war monger...

AN INTERESTING QUESTION:
This question was raised on a Philly radio call-in show. Without
casting stones, it is a legitimate question. There are two men, both
extremely wealthy.

One develops relatively cheap software and gives billions of dollars
to charity. The other sponsors terrorism. That being the case, why was
it that the Clinton administration spent more money chasing down Bill
Gates over the past eight years than Osama bin Laden?

THINK ABOUT IT!
It is a strange turn of events. Hillary gets $8 million for her
forthcoming memoir. Bill gets about $12 million for his memoir yet to
be written.

This from two people who have spent the past 8 years being unable to
recall anything about past events while under oath!

Sincerely, Cmdr Hamilton McWhorter USN (ret)

Let's clear up one point: We didn't start the war on terror. Well, the very first'FACT'is not a fact. The 'WarOn Terror'was started by GW. Its his phrase. Try to
remember. It was started by terrorists on 9/11. Let's look at the
"worst" president and mismanagement claims.

FDR led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did. BS! German U boats were sinking US merchant ships off the East coast of the US long before Pearl Harbour. If thats not an act of war I dont know what is. From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500
per year. So it wasnt worth it?

Truman finished that war and started one in Korea. North Korea

of 18,333 per year.

John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam
never attacked us.

Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. Is this a FACT? I thought the Vietcong turned Vietnam into a quagmire for the US. From 1965-1975, 58,000
lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.

No point in going any further.

Q, we were attacked. Remember?

....Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. Is this a FACT? I thought the Vietcong turned Vietnam into a quagmire for the US.

Johnson and company did not allow the military to win the war. Yes he turned it into a quagmire.

I still don't know why you're so concerned with us. You live in a country where it's legal to be a junkie or a whore, child molestation goes unpunished, and doctors kill old people for convenience. Why don't you clean up your own mess first.

Is it true that you can't walk the streets of Rotterdam due to the Arab criminal gangs? Islam, religion of peace. Riiiight.....

Q, we were attacked. Remember?

I think Q is referring to the phrase "War on Terror". We started the war on terror, and they started the terror. I do agree with him, we did start the war to stop terror.
