I just ordered a table and it seems like a good table but I'm not totally sure. How does this table rate as far as for home use.
I ordered a A.E.Schmidt Cardinal table 8' from Cornerstone billiards in Alpharetta. The sales person was really nice and seem to know his stuff. What do you experts think about A.E. Schmidt stuff?

I don't know the table but you can get a pretty good idea of the quality of the table if you just take a good objective look at it. Crawl around under it look at the woods used, is there particle board anywhere, how does everything fit, how is the finish and detailing and so on. Good quality is easy to see as is bad quality. It is a good company. Resale value of used pool tables, even high end tables, is not very good, so try to be sure you are getting what you want.
Schmidt makes one of the best tables in the business. They have been making tables a long time and seem to have maintained high quality in the face of much cheapening and cost cutting by their competitors. Their prices seem quite reasonable. A quick search came up with nothing but high praise for their tables.
Their web site seems to claim 1 inch slate although Cornerstone says otherwise.
