View Full Version : Dairy prices too high or the pizzeria blues...
Well last night i went to the local pizzeria and found that a slice now goes for $2.00!! This is one of the effects of dairy products price going up, in NYC milk shot up $1.00 more a gallon to about $4.00. eggs also went up by $.60 cents a dozen to around $1.60
Is anyone else feel the dairy blues?
Naz~~ remembers when pizza went for $.40 cent $.60 cents with a fruit drink. /ccboard/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I always have one of those half pints of milk (like the kind you get when you're in school) for breakfast. I used to pay 50 cents, now I pay 75 cents! /ccboard/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Let Senator Clinton know about it.
Looks like the mob found a new way to make money.

IIRC, the pizza they serve at the South Ferry terminal would be WELL worth $2 per slice!
It's hard to find a good slice of pie down here!
Steve---a yankee in the land of biscuits and grits!
I have been to the terminal in years, i wonder if the palce is still there.

What hasn't gone up except my pay? Forunately, I can't use milk or cheese, among other things. The bad thing is, I can't afford to drive to the grocery store. I hope my garden starts producing soon. I wonder what the neighbors would say if I kept a few chickens in my back yard? /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I also paid $4.00 for a gallon of milk. Gas just went to $1.90 - $1.95. Everything is going up, yet in my business(real estate), people ask us to cut commission to make the sale go through.
DG - must be an easier way to make money
I just spotted gas prices at $2.40 a gallon and in the same station you can find a gallon of whole milk for $4.40 and water for $2.80 a gallon! wow gas is really cheap compare to these other things /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

usually I do not pat attention to the price and I buy what I need.A month ago this one pound bag of Peecan halves I bought drew my attention. It was Eight $( I frequently eat peecans) .since then I have been paying attention to the price tags.
Now I feel that every thing is getting very expensive.I guess I can survive.Cheers
