Any events in Phoenix, AZ?

I am going to be returning to Phoenix after a 1 year tour of duty in Iceland, and was curious if there are ever any billiards events out there.

My uncle has been playing pool for over 30 years, and I am really looking forward to getting schooled by him. Hes recently recovered from a quintuple bypass surgery, and is doing great now... I thought it might be cool to go to some sort of event with him while I am home if anything ever goes on out there.

Anyways, I will be home in AZ from June 19 to July 16, if anyone knows of anything going on, or not, I would really appreciate the info!

There are nightly tournaments everywhere and some larger ones on the weekends. No pro events but some guys play close to pro's. When you get in town just pick up a copy of Arizona Billiards News. There free at most pool rooms.
