Geez, if SPetty's not out in Vegas to report back to the CCB, we hear nothing about how our CCBers are doing or what they're doing.

Rip? Steve? How 'bout it? What am I missing?

You would figure after all the talk about where to get Internet connectivity. Sheesh!

I talked with Carol again last night and she saw Fred A, but can't find Spiderman because she doesn't know his last name or his team name.

When I first arrived, I went and pasted a little "SpiderMan Face" next to my team's entry on the tournament board. My plan was to continue pasting them on as we advanced through the brackets, but this got derailed by an announcement that anyone caught writing on the board would be disqualified.

Carol ran into Chopstick and I one night when we were wandering around the casino in the Riviera. Carol and Chopstick had what must have been an hour-long conversation about how to hit a 9-ball break. I guess that must have exhausted Carol, as she didn't show up the following day to watch the 1:00 pm match I told her about /ccboard/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Marty,
Your friend seemed very intense on his research of the break and Im sorry I wasnt too conversational-I was going on 21 straight hours,so thats why I had to politely "excuse" myself! /ccboard/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I was all set-table 115-team name "topshooters"-some friends and I went to Margaritaville~10:30 am for lunch-more than enough time to get back and sweat your match-NOT-I did not actually get onto the grounds of the Riviera till 2:45,so I hope you did well!
It was great to see you, wish we could've talked more and it was very kind of you to say I looked well, even after 21 straight AWAKE hours, thanks!
Hope to see you soon!
Carol~at least I gave Marty his HUG! /ccboard/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Chopstick's gotten pretty obsessed with the break lately. He's been videotaping them on his home table, and now he's talking about buying some sort of super-high-speed camera to get a faster frame rate so that he can analyze speed of all the balls as they depart the rack.

Sorry you missed that match, it was actually one of the best ones we played. I went 5-for-5, with three runouts. Later that day we played like duffers, and got trounced by a team that was no better than our equals. Two of us (me included) rolled in early eights.

What is a "duffer" good or bad?

It was really great to see you!

I saw Eric, Fred, Tom, and Spiderman but could never clear the time it took to show up at any planned event, sorry guys. It was nice seeing you guys, anyone else I saw and forgot to mention sorry. I didn't play in the singles and was just a fill in on a team that didn't do very well (1w & 2l) I did well in the matches I played in(6-2), it just wasn't enough. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gifOn a happier note I couldn't lose in the casino or the bars ;-)
