View Full Version : Where can I find a unique cue case?
07-01-2004, 03:00 PM
Alright, so I've got a giuseppe 1x2, a whitten 1x1, and I've seen many others i.e. JJ, George, Vinc., etc... Has anyone seen anything more unique? I'm looking for something different. I've seen some of the custom hardwood cases, and they're beautiful... but do they do their job against the elements? I'm almost afraid to own one! I think I'd be almost as protective over the case as I am of my cues! Anyway, please respond if you have any good ideas for me, no matter how funky they may be. /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think this is a SPetty limited edition /ccboard/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

If that ain't unique than I don't know what is!
I like to call it "The Official Travel Case of the US Open" by SPetty (Owner of The Best Little Pool House in Texas).

Are these unique enough? At $1000 - $2500 I would think they would be pretty unique indeed!

Those longoni cases are pretty cool... is it possible to still order them?
Worked leather has never been my style, but hot d@*n! Those are some absolutely gorgeous cue cases! They don't look nearly as functional as they are beautiful, but they certainly are unique. /ccboard/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
oh, before I forget... Chris, does that come in black? /ccboard/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Clicked on this web site and got shut down by pop ups. Have been almost a half hour trying to get back on line. I ran My adware and I think I got them all. I can't believe the guy is selling $1000. cases and can't spend $5.95 a month for a website.

Sorry, I had hoped the link would bypass those BS pop-ups.
I don't know if you ever got to the page but it's worth suffering through the garbage to see his work. He's also in the Billiard Ecyclopedia.
I really think there ought to be some law against some of the stuff these web-sites can do to your computer.

OTOH, I think walking before running would be a good thing.

I never got to it, I have heard of him before though.

I saw these in Vegas the last time I was there and Pete was fascinated by them!
Pete had made me a two-sided birdseye case to hold my break cue and my custom with two shafts, plus my "stuff". But unfortunately the wood was still a bit green and warped and he couldn't fix it.
It was the talk of the one tourny I brought it to. Even Ginky was interested.
Barbara~~~should post up some of Pete's works...

No, it's not. It crapped out my IE page and I sent the error report to MS.
Sorry, but he's lost his potential business to me and anyone else who would ask me because I just won't go through that crap again. Or put anyone else through that.
I'm just wondering if I got socked with adware stuff.

One of the new toys at PettyPoint is a sawmill. LeRoy's milling his own oak and cedar. I never thought to make a cue case out of it!
We need a planer...

I don't know what is going on with yours and Popcorn's computer. I got only one pop-up every time I visited. Do you have pop-up control software? I don't - kind of strange.

My IE window got shut down on a fatal error trying to view the site.

Thanks for the suggestion. I ordered the longoni burl 2x5, and it's awesome! It's about half the weight of my giuseppe 3x6, and gets way more style points! Again, my thanks for steering me in the right direction. BTW... I read the thread about longoni cases already, and I'm prepared for the worst... I've created magnetically locking covers for the accessory compartments so that my babies don't get injured!

I keep seeing the title of this thread and every time I do, this joke keeps popping into my head, so now I have to make it get into yours...
How do you catch a unique rabbit?
Unique up on him!
How do you catch a tame rabbit?

I'm just wondering if I got socked with adware stuff.
Spybot Search & Destroy does a great job of finding adware and spyware and eliminating them and it's free. I use it all the time to keep my PC healthy. Here's the link to their download page:
There's also a ton of good ad blockers out there. I use AdsGone 2003 and it does a great job (I didn't see a single popup when I tried the link that gave you so much grief) but there are tons of other good ad and popup blockers out there.
Now a days just keeping the garbage off your computer that web sites toss at you when you visit can be a full time job. Travelling the Net can get pretty messy not to mention risky.
Good luck to you in your cleanup efforts.
Another is Spyware Blaster. It stops them before they get on a pc. Easy to use.
Woops let me add that link, SpywareBlaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html)
