Thanks for the heads up. It could be a virus that attached to your e-mail addresses and was sent out that way. That happened to me recently with the new rash of viruses.

I was going to suggest the same thing. This sounds like a virus has exploited your address book.
You should update your antivirus software and run a system scan if you haven't already.

You may find that when you scan, nothing shows up. This is one problem I had recently.

The script viruses are highly mobile. I have seen several cases where systems were infected before the fixes were posted.
Usually Symantec will have an update within a few of days of the virus's release, so even if your scan comes up clean, it is a good idea to check back each day for a few days if you suspect your system has been affected.
Also, the MS update site posts critical updates frequently, and users really need to keep their systems current. IE and Outlook Express are particularily vulnerable.

Mike, if you want, you can PM me a complete copy of the message header and I will check it out.
It should look something like this:

Seems my puter is infected with something. It'll shut down out of nowhere and I'll have to reboot. It happens all the time and says error stack overflow/ bad device driver. It happens sometimes back to back.

CC...I recently downloaded MS's patches and there was one there mentioning stack overflow. You might try Microsoft again...sid

Sounds like a NIC or video adapter driver problem. When it happens, the error will list the filename of the device driver, something like aixx.sys.
If you are running Win2k or XP, you can try reapplying the latest service pack. If the offending driver is a MS file, the SP will overwrite it. If not, you should go to the manufacturer of the device for a updated driver.
If you can't figure out what device the driver is for, PM me with the filename and your OS version, and I will check if there is a newer driver available.

Sid and Highseas,
I appreciate the information. Heide is the puter person in this house and I'll get her right on it. Or maybe, ask her nicely? LOL

I just downloaded the updates from Microsoft and installed them yesterday afternoon and haven't had any problems since. I have never seen this so called error message that he gets, but the last one that I got said something about a graphics device driver. Well, I had installed a graphics program that was not compatible with XP a couple of months ago and just went ahead and uninstalled it. I have not seen that error message since. If I ever have any problems that I'm not sure about, I go to Microsoft.com and look up in the search about similar problems and go from there. So far, there hasn't been a problem I haven't been able to fix one way or the other, LOL. Thanks for the advice.

NOT! I seem to remember 2 games played, one won and one lost. Don't even go there or I'll make you spot me 80 instead.
Heide ~ /ccboard/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
You mean your not getting 80? lol What's the race to?
~~rod, just helping out. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

He spots me 70 right now. If my game is on, he never wins. Here's the thing, we get to the pool hall around 11 p.m. The first game of straight pool, I win 100 to 58. The next game starts around mightnight or so, and I lose 100 to 85. So somewhere I lost total and complete focus and concentration, LOL.
This is an amazing game and I can't believe how it has improved the rest of my games.
Heide ~ can't wait til he can only spot me 10!!!

Can't believe my own wife knocks my action. Just glad she didn't mention the one hand jacked up. /ccboard/images/graemlins/shocked.gif She's definitely going up. I give Spike the same game and had him 58 -2. The problem was both of them can shoot straight. As of lately though I've been locking them up like a drum. hahaha The thing I like the most is if they start running many balls and reaching their personal goal then, running 9 balls is nothing.
C.C.~~it's important to show things that make them think. it also helps them with getting into the zone but especially with their personal rhythm issues. a good tool and I have fun.
