The atmosphere at the Open would be just fine. I don't think that taking him to Q-Master Billiards after the tournaments (10 PM and on) would be a good idea because of all the smoking, cussin', gambling, etc. However, during the day at Q-Masters for him would be nice. HTH

Some matches will run after 10pm, possibly up to 1:00 am but the Holiday Inn and the Hampton Inn are really close to the Convention Center, so if it gets past his bed-time you could tuck him in and return to the Open.

while i have to agree with wendy on most of her response. i think it might be ok for him to bring his son to q masters after hours somewhat. after hours is tough cuz they are advertising matches lasting until 1am. pretty late for a 10 year old. therefore he could bring him there around 8 or 9 or so before the big crowd gets there.....jmho,,,,,,,mike

Some of the matches, like Harold said, run til 1 AM and I've seen some run til 2 AM! (Ahhh but you gotta love it!) The fun starts at Q-Masters after about 10ish PM 'cause that's when a majority of the players are there looking for some action. But the action is held in the back tournament room of Q-Masters.

My father has been taking me to The U.S.open for eons now..lol

I would have to say that as long as he is well behaved then there is no issue with having him attend the U.S.Open 9-Ball Championships.

Match times are 11am, 1 pm 3 pm then evening session is 7pm 9pm and 11 pm. Matches typically run about 1 1/2hrs given exceptions. McCready matches seem to last about 22 minutes..lol
