Mcdermott and Mali cues

Hi.. I tried out both of these cues last week and I thought they were ok but the shafts were not silky smooth like I can find on some cues for around 100.00 Any opinions on these two cues? Thanks!

The shafts are just like any other low $ cue, no better/no worse. If you want it silky smooth sand it with 2000 grit sand paper.

I have 4 McDermott shafts and they are all fine.

Your $100 cue is going to have a grain that is not nearly as tight or straight.

and like anonamus said, the silky smoothness is dependent on how you prepare the finish or lack thereof.

Mcdermott is a fine production cue, and like they have already said, the shaft smoothness is in how you take care of it.
