Mike,

Is this something completely new (the amateur tourneys) ? Or have you had these in the past? Do you anticipate any problems with a ringer sneaking in?

Mike,

Thanks for the quick response. At first I thought your post might be considered spam. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The Viking Cue AMATEUR Tour is completely NEW !!!

We have never hosted events that had events that were specifically designed for amateurs.

As far as ringers go. I do not expect any problems with it. To play in the amateur events you have to show proper ID before you register. We will be using many of the professional lists available and have created one of our own.

Since the tours will operate as two different entities a player would have to buy both. The tour cards for the individual tours go to help fund the day to day operations of each tour and each tours championship events.

Although to help cross promote the the Amatuer levels to the Open levels the players that hold an amateur tour card will be allowed to play in the Open $5,000 and the $25,000 events on the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour without having to purchase the additional card. However the Open tours players will not be allowed to compete in the Amateur tours championship events unless they hold an Amateur tour card and have participated in an amateur tour event and still meet the Amateur eligibility status.

Watch out for Durbinski ? I'd give him the seven and the breaks for $.10 per game.

Wally, I don't think that Mike needed to be warned of the "Durb" /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif His name is well traveled and he has played and cashed at several of the Viking Open events. I am sure that you meant it as a joke anyways. The kid can sure play.. BIG HEART for the gamble. Just does not always make the best games!

Mike...Do you have any events coming to Dayton/Cincy.. Amateur or Open.. The one at Snookers last year was awesome..

Thanks..JBK

I'm sure we will make our way back there soon. There is nothing on the schedule yet.

It's als a good idea to mention us to your local room owner and make sure they know you enjoy us being around.
