I'm not a pool table mechanic, but I own a Diamond Pro. The Diamond Pro legs level with a strong screwdriver. There's a hole in each leg screw and you stick the screwdriver in that hole and turn it one way or the other, depending on whether you want to go up or down. Pretty dang easy.

In addition to what SPetty said about the leg leveling, the Diamond has leveling bolts to level the slates. Much easier than using shims. You table mechanic will appreciate this.

In addition to the leveling bolts, the table mechanic also used shims around the edges on my diamond. I thought it rather odd that there is only the lenghtwise beam supporting the slates, no cross beams.

I don't think it needs the addition beaming as the slates are attached to a subframe.
