I am looking for a quality, modern pool table, preferably something made out of stainless steel for an industrial residential loft. I am considering the Brunswick Manhattan, but it seems seriously overpriced.

Anyone ever seen or played on a table by Billiards by Design (www.billiardsbydesign.com)? Any other thoughts for sourcing a similar industrial look table would be greatly appreciated.

The problem with the price of anything is your looking at retail. If there is a WPBA event coming close to where you are, then you might possibly pick up the tv table at a reasonable price. The problem with that is they have been switching tables for tv lately so it hard to say what they might be using at any given tournament. The whole tournament is played on GCIV's and they were available for $2600. This is just one way to go. I am sure there are other ways to get what you want at a reasonable price. Good luck.

Did you ever buy the Manhattan or a table by Billiards by Design? We are having the exact same quandary here in Boston. I can't imagine why Brunswick is charging so much for the table. Are there any other alternatives out there for a stainless steel pool table? Thanks, Julia

The found a few other options.

www.heltzer.com. (http://www.heltzer.com.) More expensive, but interesting looking.
www.mitchell-custom.com (http://www.mitchell-custom.com)
www.o8o.com (http://www.o8o.com)

In the end, we went with Billiards by Design. Great table. Could not be happier.
