Wow, that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard... I enjoy chalking my cue...

A couple years ago, someone was trying to market rubber tips instead of leather. He called them the tip of the future, funny... I don't see them around anymore. I never tried them.
DG - couldn't imagine they would work

I don't know about rubber tips but I used a tip a few years ago call something like "Future tip". They were actually very good but you could not keep them glued on. I see no reason the properties of leather can't be reproduces if a manufacture was so inclined. Not a chalkiness tip or a tip that would last forever, just a more consistent tip you would dress the same as a leather tip. There is probably some off the shelf materials now you could make a cue tips from that would work.

I chalk my tip after almost every single shot. I think it would throw off my rhythm if I didn't chalk my stick /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif
