I usually play at the Cue and Cushion when I'm in town. Available Tue (8/31) or Wed (9/1) evening. PM or e-mail me if you're interested.

Adios,

Hi Bob,

Mark Wilson runs a hall somewhere out there and he might be playing the US Open from what I hear.

Chris:

Played some one-hole with Jim Buss (who spanked me pretty badly) and he said that Mark used to occasionally play out of the Cue & Cushion, but now has a room of his own on the other side of the river (IL). Good luck in Chesapeake.

Adios,

Pizza Bob<--still looking to fill his Tue & Wed dance card

From what I have heard, Mark's room is in Cahokia, Il. Haven't had the chance to check it out yet, but that would make 2 rooms full to hunt some action down if "The Break" is still open.

Mark Wilson's room is located at 301 W. Main in Collinsville, IL which is about 15 minutes east of downtown St. Louis.

He doesn't have his hours posted on his website but I believe he is open from 2:00 pm - midnite. His number is (618) 346-0325

A couple more good spots on the "East Side" are:

Brendens - IL Route 159 (1/4 mi. south of US Route 50) in Fairview Heights, IL.

Riverbend Billiards - 411 Piasa Street - Alton, IL

Mark is one hell of a guy and will stay open just about all hours if there is something going on. I recently visited him at Bullpen Billiards and u can't ask for better equipment to play on. He keeps the tables and balls so clean u could eat off of them. He loves to play and if u wanna go in there and play him some cheap he would be more than happy to accomadate u. He's definately a high class guy as well as a world class poolplayer. Many pro's have been out to visit his new place including, Jeanette Lee, Monica Webb, and Helena Thornfelt.
In refrence to other places to play close to collinsville there is The Break in Cahokia which is probably the best action spot in St. louis if u catch it at the right time as well as Sharkey's in Collinsville where Gary Lutman is always ready to go off for a few dimes.:)

U let the Buss man run over u ehh. He makes one hell of a cuestick i know that much. And if u are going to play one pocket at the cue and cushion u better be ready. Those boys there play on the fast one pocket table up front everyday and most of them have played on that table for years. I used to go there alot but the action out there died down when all of the casino boats came in. Did u happen to run into Big Ed, or a kid named Jeremy?.

I'm here in Missouri, but I'd be much better as an observer! /ccboard/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Yeah, Big Ed was coming in as Jim and I were heading out (Jim beat me 7-2, that night, it's usually closer, he can't beat me too badly, it would reflect badly on the cue I use....a Buss). I just killed some time in the C&C on Wednesday night and Big Ed was there - quite a discussion on Literature, movies, politics etc. I just love pool rooms.

Don't know about that Deanna...you haven't seen me play. If you're game, I'm due out there again the second week of November. Monday night is reserved for Jim (I have to even the score) but Tue & Wed will be open. Sometimes you just gotta step-up.

Adios,
