While i was doing research to help Mr. Ingrate out with his pigeon hole problem....and he didn't seem grateful at all when I gave him this url...http://www.pidgie.care4free.net/wallcote.jpg
Nah, I don't know how to post pix, either
Anyway, back to the problem....which remarkably is known as the pigeon hole principle
This weren't covered on my GED test, not even on the fifth time I took it (surprisingly had the exact same passing score as the person on my right)...here's da problem:
Thirty members of a cannibal club had a joint dinner. After the dinner it became known that among every six members of the club, one ate another one. Prove that there are 6 members of the club which are inside one another ( the first memebr is inside the second one, the second member inside the third one and so on )
Now I don't know any cannibals, but suppose I throw a big party...I'd like to know who may end up inside who, so I can plan accordingly.
Seriously, I'd like to know how to solve the problem...you're not dealing with John Nance here, although I do wear aluminum foil hats to keep the aliens from reading my mind
