Bittorrent really has taken over as the king of p2p. It is much more efficient that MIRC or Direct Connect.
Most areas of interest have a bittorrent site. I am wondering if anyone knows of any pool/billiard bittorrent site ??
If not , would anyone be interested in trying to start one up ?
I don't have a server to host a tracker but i would be willing to support a new site by seeding videos i have.
what does everyone think ?

You do not need a server. You can use a site like www.supernova.org (http://www.supernova.org) or torrentracker. If you already have the vids on your HD then great, all you have to do is torrent them on the tracker. I know there is a few people interested in torrenting the pool vids. They were talking about it on AZ a few times.
Here (http://www.azbilliards.com/vbulletin/upload/showthread.php?t=7731) is the most recent thread.

you don't need your own tracker but it's much much better. Public trackers aren't that reliable and if you use a public tracker, it ends up being a one way street
When you get a torrent site together specialising in a particular subject, you get the community together and you get much more people sharing.

I understand what you are saying about the public trackers, though I have never had a real reliability problem before. But fact is right now there are no billiard video torrents available. I know that at one time the DCers were meeting on a hub that was not solely for pool vids. They just kinda picked one and met there. I am not sure if they are back to a pool related one or not. I do know that several people are interested in receiving the torrents. I would torrent some, but I don't have any, as the DC++ did not fare well for me. I do think that the pool players will take care of their own as far as seeding and reseeding. I even think that we could start a group or something so that folks could post their seed request and seeding problems. That away we know when someone is stuck at 99%. You will always have your leechers, but even on the public trackers you have to have a ratio usually 1 or more or you are banned from the tracker.
Just my opinion.
