Hi, Carol. I think I met you at the Valley Forge 2 years ago. I will be there on November 18th with one of the "six other legends in the sport." /ccboard/images/graemlins/cool.gif

The format is one that is used in golf venues. The 16-player field is divided into four groups of four players, Players A, B, C, and D. There is an opportunity for a player to win a big chunk of money out of the $130,000 total prize purse.

Each player plays a different person in their bracket, and challenger breaks. From what I've heard through the grapevine, the players like the format a lot AND the potential to win a lot of dough. It filled up so quickly that there is a waiting list in case someone cannot make it. /ccboard/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Eight players will advance to the second day for the semi-finals, which will be aired on ESPN. From what I understand of this format, the worst-case scenario is that a player can go 6 and out and get knocked out. A player can win 3 games in a row and win a "skin," which is money.

TV exposure is becoming increasingly important to younger players that I have talked to. For me and mine, though, it's the "SHOW ME THE MONEY" that is the draw! /ccboard/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

It's great that spectators are free (IMO).

I,too, will be arriving the 18th-I have been designated an employee for Allen-hopefully "meet&amp;greet" spectators with the "how ya doing" (only kidding)
I think I'll be handing out the flyers for the times of matches ( I think)!But I'll bring my cue in case someone backs out,ha ha ha ha(only kidding)
