Based on these pics I am for Meg all the way, but get an updated pic of Meg and maybe my mind will change. Don't get me wrong, Allison is pretty, but I think Meg is prettier in the pic that is posted. I guess it depends on the light? /ccboard/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I've always liked Meg Ryan but have found in recent years she has that robotic botox look. Allison seems to look better year after year.

I've always preferred Alison's looks, persona, and just about everything else about her over the women players traditionally referred to as "hot". Meg Ryan was one of my fantasies until I found out she smokes (I think), an immediate turn off for me regardless of all other factors. Either way they're both pretty good looking and Alison sure can play pool which gives her a leg up on Meg in my mind even though Meg is actually better looking.

The Meg picture doesn't come up for me but the Allison does. Can you re-post the Meg picture? I can't remember exactly what she looks like, and definitely not whether the two women resemble one another.

Wow. No idea at all. Like I said, I've been away from anything to do with the game for a year or so, but as of then when I was following her much closer, I totally missed that "buzz."

And there goes my plans for marrying Gerda too, then.

Allison could do worse, I always thought Gerda was a cutie -- unless she's changed in the last year. And yes, I think Allison is a looker too, but that pic at the top of this thread doesn't do her justice IMHO.

Actually, I don't think the 2004 WPBA photo reflects how Allison really looks... but anyway, here are some similar photos. (I think they are both pretty, but I couldn't compare them and pick one like that.)

And Allison and Gerda are just friends now, that's been known for a while as well. Though it does not matter I suppose.

Chris, you are a little "behind the times" re: your matchups.Gerda and Allison are now just good friends. I had the pleasure of seeing Gerda daily, when she was in the bay area, for about a year. Even got a round of golf in with her, and when she left town, I bought her car from her. The gang at the pool hall "loved" her, and we didn't care which team she was on, long as it wasn't the Yankees. And Allison is not only pretty, but pretty nice to talk to, IMHO....

I had the rare opportunity to work with both these women, and there is a stunning resemblance. Allison is well aware of the comparisons and joked (insert British accent here) "But do people tell Meg Ryan she looks like me?"
When I photographed Meg, it was years before Allison had made her way to the US, so I could not answer that question. I do think they are both attractive women but made much more so by their great personalities. Both are extremely funny and down to earth...

I do wish Meg would lay off the collagen and botox...I hate to see intelligent women succumb to the pressures of Hollywood; but being a 41 year old actress in that world is not something any of us could understand.

And Chris, Allison and Gerda are now very good friends, only ...Gerda lives in NY, Allison lives in Charlotte.

It was her first time out, after just a few sessions at the driving range ...told her to "keep her day job"....but she's very athletic, and competitive...a couple of lessons, and some playing time, and I'd probably need 2 a side...and one "gotcha"
