I was talking with Mike Zuglan, promoter and owner of the Joss Northeast Tour, last night and he has informed me that there is already a full, prepaid, field for the $15,000 added Joss Tour event scheduled for the Turning Stone Casino in Verona NY on February 19th and 20th, 2005. he does have a waiting list with about 6 names on it in case some players who have paid don't make it. A great time will be had by all and it is free for the spectators as well. So come, watch and have a great time...see you there........mike

Mike forgot to mention there will also be a Texass hold-em tournament for the Friday night before the tournament, it will be open to all who are there for the Pool event, I believe you can call Mr. Zuglan to sign up for it.

Jim..... you have to call the Casino to sign up for that. From what mike has told me last night, the Casino is running that and that he has nothing to do with it. He said that all the casino did was give him a heads up on the tournament before it is announced to the public so that the players and spectators coming to the casino for the Pool Tournament would not get shut out. He said that the Casino figures that when they announce it to the public it will fill fast........mike

I just want to mention that I met Mike Zuglan some years ago when he was in Maine, I bought him for $300 at the auction, I asked him as your suppose to do if he wanted to go half with me, and he said no kind of in a sarcastic way I thought, he lost his first match, then proceeded to go thru every match with a win, when it came down to the finals, he asked me if he could go half with me, in a joking way! As I got to know him, I found him to be a very decent person with no pretensions of any kind, and a nice sense of humor. In other words, one of the finest pool players I have ever run across, and unfortunately their are not many that I can say that about.
