Getting tired of cold turkey sandwiches? It is cold outside so I decided that turkey ala king would sound good for a change. Of course, you can always vacuum seal some of the leftover turkey and freeze it. Here's my recipe for the ala king.

Turkey Ala King
1/4 c. butter
1/3 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chicken broth
1 c. milk
2 c. diced turkey
1 (3-4 oz.) can of mushroom pieces and stems
1/4 c. chopped canned pimento

Melt butter in a saucepan. Blend in the flour and salt. All at once, add the chicken broth and milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce is thick and bubbly. Add the turkey, drained mushrooms, and pimento. Heat through. Serve over buttered toast. Makes 5 servings, or two hungry men. /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif
