There is a "hidden" order, based upon color combination
progressions. The first three colors are primaries, the next
three are secondaries,...

All colors:
cueball - white

Primaries:
1 - yellow
2 - blue
3 - red

Secondaries:
4 - purple (blue + red)
5 - orange ( yellow + red)
6 - green (yellow + blue)

Tertiary:

7 - bugundy ( yellow + blue + red)

No colors:
8 - black

The 9 through 15 are a repeat of the 1 - 7 sequence, with
the color as a stripe rather than a solid.

I've been calling the colors of the 9 through 15-Ball the "Eights Complement" for many years. (BTW... The {white} Cue Ball is the "Eights Complement" of the 8-Ball)

Burgundy? All this time, I thought it was Pantone 484.
