This is kinda cool...

Lycos has made a screensaver that repeatedly requests information from Web sites that deal in spam, thereby reducing the performance of those sites.

Following that link, I saw an article on Sabeer Bhatia, the founder of Hotmail, taking aim on spam.
On a public links golf course, a few years back, the starter joined me up with him,and his friend. During the round, they were telling me exciting it was at the beginning...a message would come through...50,000 new subscribers...then a 100k...and so on...
Not a bad golfer, and seemed like a "good guy"
