View Full Version : Cue Repair
Can anyone tell me a trusted place I can ship my cue shafts for repair? I have two that need new tips and one that needs to be cleaned. I live overseas in the military so theres no place here to take them. Any help is appreciated.

There are a few repair guys on this forum who could do the job for you.
Replacing tips run about $10 per (layered tips are more) and cleaning a shaft would be a bit less.
Are you really positive you want the expense of shipping ???

Being overseas in the military, his shipping costs to/from an APO/FPO should be the same as ours here in the states -- the rates are the same, or at least they were when I was overseas in the service 15 years ago. As light as shafts would be I wouldn't expect shipping to cost that much. Probably $5 or so in each direction depending on packaging.
Yeah the shipping rates are the same and the shafts don't weigh very much so it shouldn't be too much. Thanks for the help guys.

Mike Webb in Pawtucket, RI does great work. My guess is he'd be especially considerate to a military man (or gal).

They do excellent repair work on cues. I have sent them about 10 cues from Puerto Rico, with no problems at all.
The site also lets you know on what cues they are working with (picture) and you should be able to detect your cue and know that it is being worked on.

Snap- I'm in the USAF and stationed at Scott AFB in Illinois. I spent 3 years at Spangdahlem AB in Germany and all of 2003 at Osan AB in Korea. I do cue repair and am a certified instructor also. I'll clean and retip (LePro/Triangle) your shafts for $30 and that includes return shipping. Where are you stationed at? Check out my website, www.zimsrack.com (http://www.zimsrack.com)

Like Troy said (a cue repairman himself), there are several right here who can do the job...Troy included! I can tell you personally, that Spiderman, here on the CCB, does outstanding shaft work! Extremely professional, and very reasonable! He lives in Dallas, TX. There's also JER, one of our resident custom cuemakers, of Blackheart Cues, in Illinois! You have lots of good choices!
