Olhausen Reno Laminate -vs- Olhausen Americana

I'm currently in the market for a new table in the $2000 range. Went to an Olhausen dealer yesterday to check out what they have. A couple potential choices are the Olhausen Reno Laminate for about $2000 or the Americana Solid wood for about $2500. I like the look of both tables. These prices include accesories, delivery, setup, and re-leveling (minus sales tax). Aside from the look, is there any reason one would want the solid wood Americana versus the laminate Reno? Are these good prices? Can I do better on a used table for $2000? Thanks.

If this is a "throw away" table, it probably doesn't matter, but who wants to throw away $2K? I'd definitely go for the solid wood, it will last a lot longer if cared for.
