Was reading Mike Shamos' column in the January BD Magazine (Page 78). The article is named "The Secret Collector" and it is about a chance encounter with a Billiards Colector by Mike while he was in New York.
Although I would not consider myself a "Collector", I have been gathering small billiards related items such as matchbooks, business cards, chalk, tiny billiard tables, cueballs, figurines, patches, and the sorts. Small items that I can easily tuck away at home.
Anyway, I would like to contact Mike Shamos, and learn a little more about collecting items, what to look for, where to look for it (besides e-bay), etc.
According to my search via the internet; there is no physical location of "The Billiard Archive" however, Mike has stated that he has amassed about 25,000 items. Quite impressive, I might say.
If anyone knows how I can get a hold of him via e-mail or the internet; please let me know by sending me a private message.
As usual, I have to thank all of you whom have always responded to my inquiries via this board. This is the only forum I keep coming back to.
Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday Season.
