Hi-I have a question,I have been to alot of gun shows and fishing shows,RV,boat, trailer shows, but I never been to a billiard show and I was thinking about going this year to it, but I would like to know if I'm looking for a cue and find some that I'm interested in do they allow you to take some hit's with it on a table , is there one near by( pool table)by the dealers booths, and please no wise cracks about them gun shows letting you shoot guns before buying /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif I did handle before buying but not shooting @ the show /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

LMAO, I'm not sure if you will have any luck trying out cues at the '95 expo....if you do manage to make it, could I please borrow your time machine?? /ccboard/images/graemlins/confused.gif

But seriously, to answer your question: yes

I was doing to many things at once and didn't realize I put that, Thanks, so there is a table by the booths, I would have thought that. /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah, it is kinda like that...the ACA has a table in their section for this purpose...the other cuemakers will usually let you hit a few on an empty table somewhere.

another question do you get better deals there then you would say like buying off ebay or some of these websites, are the prices right or higher ?

MrLucky

personally I am very wary of Ebay for cues since some dealers are offering 2nds and factory rejects and not properly informing consumers! I prefer seeing and holding the cue I am interested in so I knopw what I am getting with no dissapointments or misgivings later! /ccboard/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I agree I like to see and feel and take possibly some hits before purchasing one, to me ebay is like playing russian roulet you never know! the cue might look nice but it might not be right for you!

Sometimes you can get better deals at the show. More so on the last day because they don't want to carry them back home, but they won't give them away either. The prices, I found, are usually right on.

DG - been there many times

The Superbilliard Expo ,in my opinion, is one of the best expos on the east coast, and not only cause im staff-do you get deals? Well, Im sure you can ask the vendor "can you do a little better than that?'-but if your looking for something ridiculous, fuhgeddaboudit,ya know-alot people I know go there specifically to seek out a certain booth,so, if you have something in mind, that would be good!
Good luck!
Hope to see you there!

Hi-Carol, I was looking at the exhibitors list and I thought they would have cue sellers also but I only see cue makers and cue manufacturers and billiard product sellers and my thoughts would have been that there would be used cue dealers like

http://www.classiccues.com/
http://www.chalkers.com/index.htm
http://www.cueaddicts.com/
http://www.susiecuebilliards.com/
http://www.billiardcue.com/

maybe the list isn't updated but I don't see any used cue dealers that specialize in old cues like the list above but would you know if any of the above will be there /ccboard/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Thanks-Steven

Justbrake - Classiccues.com usually will be there, billiardcue.com has been there in the past but hassn't been for the last 2 years. Many others without websites will be there with an assortment of collectable cues.

Hi-dg-in-centralpa

I wanted to look at some certin cues that I had in mind and they are still available on these cue seller sites and I just was thinking earlier if I could ask them in advance if they could bring them with them ? but I don't know whos going to be there I had earlier emailed chalkers.com but he never got back to me, he has this cue that I have wanted to look at for awhile but not willing to buy without having to see it in person ,

Thanks

Yeah, justbreak, the list isn't updated. All booths are sold out, there will be dealers there that specialize in older cues. Classic Cues is always there as well as MANY others.

Classiccues.com will most likely be there under the normal non-net business name: Pool Table Magic

CueAddicts.com I believe is in association with Scott Murphey's Cues, another annual attendee.

Joe Salazar - Connossieur of Custom Cues is always there as well.

J&J will probably be there with TAD cues as well as many Asian cues.

How are ya Landshark /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif
There are actually "4" vendor spots left as of yesterday-if anyone is interested they must visit the superbilliardexpo website-click on exhibitor info and go for it,like, NOW /ccboard/images/graemlins/wink.gif
There also are a few open spots for the open men tourney, lots wait for the last minute, I wouldn't at this point-cause this is kinda like "last minute" then the waiting list starts!
See ya abd take care!
Carol~can't wait to get the "I know "Allen" shirts! /ccboard/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

booth table whats the difference when you have been to as many shows as I have it's all the same to me i'm not the renter just an observer so weather it's a table or booth thats there it's all the same to me , I know tables use to go for like $200 to 400 a table not sure but I have no idea what a booth would go for , my guessing would be around 1000. but what ever I only want to look at cues Thanks
