View Full Version : The Sneakiest Pete

There was an interesting post in another thread about DZcues marketing a re-shafted "Budweiser" cue as the ultimate sneaky pete. I think that's a pretty good disguise, but the one that has always gotten my imagination is the $20 "walking-cane cue" that was so prolific a few years back. It was a hand-carved piece of junk that converted from a walking cane into a pool cue. The shaft stored inside the butt, eliminating the need for a case, and half of the "knob" on the big end screwed off to reveal a rubber bumper. Absolutely screams "duffer" when you start the complex process of disassembly and reassembly, especially if you do it on the tournament table while explaining that it's a priceless antique brought back from Korea by your soldiering father. The only guy likely to draw more snickers is the one with the 5-piece cue in the little wooden case, but unfortunately those play bad enough to seriously handicap anyone.

For those interested (yeah, who would?), you can still find the cane cue and the 5 piece cue at Ebay.
