Anyone use his cues? I'm considering a custom stick and will be in the Twin Cities next week. Figure I'll stop in and visit for abit. He's the closest builder to me. So what do you say? How do they hit and do you like them? Pro's and con's?

Just like ANY good cuemaker, the "hit" depends primarily on the shafts taper (and concentricity). The butt of the cue does nothing other than providing the proper balance and a handle of course. Steve's cues all play well, his craftsmanship is near flawless and a good custom from him will surely fit the bill. The only thing is to KNOW what you want. If you are a 9-ball player, DON'T ask him for his conical taper!!!

What is a conical taper?
