In Mr. Dyer's article, Rainmakers: Feeding the Pool Food Chain, he quotes Fats' book where Fats said Norfolk Whitey bought a property 14 miles outside of downtown Norfolk that would accomodate 300 people. Does anyone know where this place was/is located?

Until reading Mr. Dyer's Hustler Days and his articles in BD, I had no idea Norfolk had such a pool history. Since, like all of you here, I am a pool enthusiast and I was born and live in the Norfolk area it is of significant ingterest to me. I'd like to get some pictures of these old pool halls for my game room.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Whimpy Lassiter never knew people played nineball for a dollar a game. He had to go on the road with Don Willis and Jimmy Moore to see the real world. He always played for big money in Norfolk Va.
