Kelly Fisher has secured her first of many WPBA Classic Tour victories! Last night, the six-time and reigning World Snooker Champion defeated Gerda 7-3, putting her first professional 9-ball tournament victory behind her. This victory comes days after her one-year anniversary of arriving in the United States, never having played 9-ball before! Most of her first year in the US was spent playing in qualifiers and qualifying tours, earning the CAT Player of the Year spot. From winning qualifiers, then the POY spot, and now from doing very well in the WPBA, Kelly is guaranteed to be playing (and thriving!) on the WPBA tour from here on out.

In the 2005 WPBA West Coast Classic, Kelly matched up against:
Hsin Huang, 9-2
Susan Williams, 9-4
Monica Webb, 9-6
Julie Kelly, 9-5
Janet Atwell, 9-5
Karen Corr, 7-5
Vivian Villarreal, 7-3
Gerda Hofstatter, 7-3
WHAT A PERFORMANCE!

Everyone at Sterling Gaming (http://www.sterling-gaming.com/) is very proud of Kelly, and all she has accomplished in a very, very short time.

Kelly Fisher breaks with a Fury (http://www.fury-cues.com/) Jump/Break Cue (http://www.cuesight.com/fury-jump-break-pool-cues.html), model JB-RW. Her pool cue case (http://www.cuesight.com/stl8by.html) (seen in the picture below) is from Sterling.

It would appear that ALREADY Kelly is ranked #8 on the WPBA tour, even though she hasn't played in anywhere near a full year's calendar of events!

Kelly, all of us knew you'd shoot straight to the top. Anyone want to take bets on when she'll be #1? We're so proud of you!

As Nick so eloquently put it....DITTO!
Great job by Kelly. I understand she was regularly running out from her breaks. That's one tough player!!
Congratulations, Kelly!

Oh, yeah, Scott...I may have heard wrong, but I thought she was number 7 in ranking now.
